What to wear for your Senior Photo Session

What to wear for your Senior Session!

Below are a few examples of layering styles for your Custom Senior Photography Session.

One of the biggest concerns that my senior girls have is WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Senior pictures are big deal and you want to look amazing! So, I have put together this simple guide for you.  Basically, you want to have VARIETY. Pants, shorts, skirts and dresses are all outfits that you can wear that can give your different looks a lot of variety. Layering different textures & fabrics is a great way to add interest to your photographs.

I always suggest 3 outfit "Types" for my Senior Sessions. 1-Be Classic, 2-Be Comfortable, 3-Be you!

Classic Styles are those that aren't too trendy and go out of style quickly. Think of Vintage, beautiful clothing choices that will look as gorgeous 20 years from now in your photos as they do today. I tell my clients to steer clear of heavily patterned clothing. I always suggest a solid color dress/ skirt option that pairs well with a variety of accessories. Layer with a jean jacket or vest, a scarf, hat , bangles or necklaces. This gives you multiple looks with one outfit.

While keeping variety in your different looks, you can still maintain modern fashion trends while anchoring them with timeless foundations like denim, a simple lace dress, a favorite hat, or your favorite jeans. Bring one outfit that is your favorite. Something that you are very comfortable wearing. Last but not least, bring and outfit & accessory that tells the story of who you are, a sports uniform, your ballet shoes, Your guitar, or other props that show your interests and hobbies.

Follow these tips and your senior photographs to be as unique and beautiful as you are.

It's basically a fashion style where everything is really plain and basic, hence the name minimalist, because it's using a minimal amount of clothes to achieve a chic look.
